"1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup vinegar
1/2 cup catsup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 onion, grated
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup salad oil
Beat the first 6 ingredients together well. Gradually beat in oil. Refrigerate. "

this was pretty close. I added some celery seeds to it and a little more oil.
